Addie arrived here in AmSam in mid-January for her seven-week
stay. There were so many events looming ahead of us that seemed so far off back
then (my birthday, Valentine’s Day, a couple three day weekends due to national
holiday’s, Addie going to New Zealand, Fiji for Spring Break). We’ve just
arrived back from Fiji and it’s like where the heck did all that time go?
Addie’s time here sped by so very quickly. I wanted her to
enjoy herself and was worried because I thought that she might get bored on a
tiny island for seven weeks. Turned out
that seven weeks was the perfect amount of time. We were busy every weekend,
the three of us got into a cooking, weekend routine, a workout routine and
still had enough time to relax and not feel rushed.
We showed Addie our favorite spots, discovered new spots
together and she even introduced us to new things. It gave us a whole new
appreciation for the island.
It was great bonding time with the little sis as I haven’t
lived with her in so many years. Poor Saul had to share a house and a bathroom
with two girls but we both loved having her here and miss her dearly!
Now we’re in the final stretch of our time here in AmSam and
trying to figure out what the next step is. All we know is that traveling will
be part of the equation and the rest is still up in the air!

ReplyDeleteHope Samoa is treating you guys wonderfully for the last stretch of your stay.
