As we're sitting on our bed at 11:30pm on New Year's Eve reflecting on 2017 the topic of this blog came up. Our last post was in February 2016 and boy have times changed. Starting this blog in 2013 the possibilities of "adulthood" loomed in the very near future. We were just about to get married and take off for American Samoa. Fast forward to tonight and all of our wildest dreams have come true. We had the second little love of our life, Harper Wren. She's a force to be reckoned with and such a perfect addition to our family. We decided to do something that many people call us crazy for and move downtown with our two little babies. Although it's not the typical "suburban" young family experience, it feels SO much like home. Really, it is home. Teagan is 2.5!!!! (WHAT?!?!?!?!). She's our big girl in every sense of the phrase. She knows her way around down here (geographically), she has such a mature grasp of things that are far beyond her years, and she has the most amazing devotion/love for her baby sister. Our parent hearts melt on the regular!
2018, it's going to be SO tough to beat 2017. Over the last almost 10 years we've been together we had good years and we've had bad years (some worse than others). We've been beyond blessed this past year and we're so aware of that. 2018, we're ready for you! :)
